Baring Fund Announces Takeover Bid For Interplex Holdings

An investment vehicle of Baring Private Equity Asia, has announced a $449.6 million takeover bid for Interplex Holdings.

The fund is making a cash offer of $0.82 per share, which is a premium of 15.5 percent over the last traded price of $0.71 on 22 December 2015. The offer also represents a premium of approximately 62.4 percent over the net asset value per share as of 1Q16. Metcomp Group and Standard Chartered Private Equity jointly with Marina IV own approximately 57.7 percent of the total shares, and have given irrevocable undertakings to sell its shares when the formal offer is made.
