China Everbright Water has won the tender for Nanjing Pukou Reusable Water Project in Jiangsu Province with the highest ranking in the overall score rating. The project has a daily reusable water supply capacity of 40,000m3 and will be built in a Build-Operate-Transfer basis. It will be constructed in 2 phases with a total investment of Rmb45.7m. Project Phase 1 is expected to commence operation in 2016 with a water supply capacity of 20,000m3.

City Developments (CDL) has entered into an agreement with Alpha Investment Partners (Alpha), through Alpha Asia Macro Trends Fund II, to create a joint office investment platform that will acquire 3 of CDL’s prime office assets. Through the transaction, both parties will jointly invest in an office portfolio with a total value of approximately $1.1b. Alpha and CDL will co-finance the portfolio in the ratio of 60:40.

Envictus International’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Platinum Appreciation, together with Brothers Coffee Ventures will acquire the entirety of Lyndarahim Ventures, for a total consideration of RM24m, with the group acquiring an 85% stake for RM20.4m. Integrating the coffee chain business of Lyndarahim Ventures allows the group to achieve operational and business synergy for better financial performance. In particular, the group’s trading and frozen food, bakery and butchery businesses will also benefit from supplying its premium products to complement the coffee chain business.

Ezion Holdings has entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with a Chinese state-owned enterprise (SOE) to support offshore wind power installation projects in China mainly along the coastal regions. The group will support the SOE with its service rigs for the loading, construction, transportation and installation aspects of the wind turbine development projects. In addition, the group will also provide the relevant technical expertise required for the construction and installation of the wind turbine foundation and components.

IPS Securex Holdings has received a US$64.5m Letter of Award (LOA) for the sale of Hyperspike acoustic hailing devices and their supporting accessories for delivery to a certain customer in Southeast Asia envisaged over a period of five years by Dec-20, subject to the issue of the relevant issue purchase orders. The US$64.5m LOA is the largest deal the group has received to date and is expected to contribute positively to and is expected to have a material impact on the earnings per share and net asset value per share for the group for FY16.

Sim Lian Group has acquired 2 investment grade retail properties, Woolworths Shopping Centre and Masters Home Improvement Everton Park located at Queensland, Australia for AUD70m. The properties offer complimentary retail offerings presented over 2 high profile adjoining sites totalling 55,730sqm and are positioned at the intersection of major roads. The properties are well-positioned retail destinations within the well-established and expanding Brisbane inner residential suburb of Everton Park and the northern suburbs.

UOL Group was awarded the tender submitted by its wholly-owned subsidiary UOL Venture Investments and Singland Home, a subsidiary of United Industrial Corporation (UIC) for the residential site at Clementi Ave 1 at a price of $302.1m, by the Urban Redevelopment Agency. A 50:50 joint venture company will be incorporated to undertake the development of the site which allows the group to replenish its land bank for residential development in Singapore.

Yoma Strategic Holdings’ wholly-owned subsidiary, Yoma Nominee Limited has established a new 50:50 joint venture company, MM Cars Myanmar (MMCM), with Mitsubishi Corporation. MMCM will serve as the official distributor of automobiles manufactured by Mitsubishi Motors Corporation and is responsible for the distribution (wholesale), retail sales, after-sales services, and maintenance services of motor vehicles and spare parts manufactured by Mitsubishi Motors Corporation.
