ComfortDelGro Corporation’s 9M15 revenue inched up 1.5% to $3,048.5m, while net profit grew 6.3% to $233.7m, boosted by lower fuel, electricity, materials and consumables costs. 3Q15 turnover was up only 1%, due to partial erosion by a negative foreign currency translation effect, from a weaker Australian dollar and euro. Going forward, the company expects higher revenue from transport provision, but projects decreases in revenues from automotive engineering services, as well as the inspection and testing services segments.

Fragrance Group’s associated company, AF Global, has acquired an additional 28.9% stake in LCD Global Investments (LCD) for $74.2m, to a total of 83.5% stake upon completion. LCD has a presence in Asia and UK with a portfolio of businesses that include owning and/or managing high-end hotels and serviced residences, and providing real estate consultancy services.

Hyflux’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Hyflux Consumer Product, invested $50m to acquire a 50% stake in PT Oasis Waters International, an Indonesian firm that manufactures, sells, markets and distributes bottled drinking water with revenues of IDR700b ($73m), growing at 36% year by year. With an existing established distribution network and customer base, the acquisition will also provide an immediate distribution platform for the group’s consumer products.

Marco Polo Marine has terminated a US$214.3m contract for a jack-up rig under construction at Sembcorp Marine’s 85%-owned PPL Shipyard after the latter’s failure to comply with certain material contractual obligations, and will seek a refund of 10% of the contract price (US$21.4m). Sembcorp Marine has denied the allegations and will regard the termination as a repudiatory breach of contract and claims amounts due to the contract against Marco Polo Marine.

NauticAWT’s recently acquired subsidiary, Marine Engineering Services, has been awarded a $3.5m engineering contract for the design of living quarters, designed to accommodate 140 personnel and integrated with the utility deck for an offshore platform, from SMOE, a subsidiary of SembCorp Marine. The scope of work includes design of architectural, piping and plumbing, heating ventilation and air conditioning, as well as safety, structural, electrical, instrumentation and telecoms engineering.

Q&M Dental Group (Singapore) reported an 83.9% leap in its 9M15 net profit, on the back of a 32.1% rise in revenue. The top line gain was attributable to higher turnover in the dental and medical clinics segment from an expanded network and increased contributions from existing outlets, as well as a jump in sales from the dental supplies manufacturing, pursuant to the acquisition of Aidite in Aug 14.

Rex International’s indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Rex Oman, has injected a total capital of US$8.2m into Masirah Oil (MOL) at US$1,426 per share. The group considers it beneficial as it allows MOL to pursue its drilling activities and continue its operations in Oman, identified as the group’s main focus going forward. MOL is a 64%-owned subsidiary of Lime Petroleum (the group has a 65% indirect stake). Thus, the injection of capital will increase the group’s effective interest from 41.6% to 61.8%.

Triyards Holdings has secured a US$12.8m contract for four tugboats specially constructed for escort operations in adverse sea and weather conditions for a new Singapore-based new client Greenbay Marine.
