Top Glove Eyes RM2.5 Billion Revenue
Malaysia Daily Bulletin | 03 August 2015
  • Top Glove Corporation, the world’s biggest rubber glove manufacturer, is eyeing revenue of RM2.5 billion this year, supported by higher sales. Given the group’s annual growth rate of approximately 27 percent, chairman Tan Sri Lim Wee Chai is optimistic that the target would be achieved.
  • The company will continue to invest in automation to increase production capacity, with plans to allocate about RM200 million for capital expenditure each year.
  • Apart from an additional factory, Top Glove is also expanding its current facilities in Port Dickson and Phuket, Thailand. Production capacity per annum will be increased to 52.4 billion pieces from the current 44.6 billion once these projects are completed.

Significance: Besides targeting higher revenue, the group is also aiming to increase its global market share from 25 percent now to 30 percent by 2020, which will be fueled by its expansion plans.
