SCGM Earnings Double In Q4
  • SCGM doubled its net profit to RM5.1 million for 4Q14 ended 30 April 2015, driven by higher overseas sales. Revenue also increased 8.8 percent to RM25.9 million.
  • The sales performance is commendable, being a reasonable increase compared to the previous year’s performance despite a challenging external environment.
  • The company posted a 35.8 percent jump in net profit to RM15.6 million for FY2014 compared to FY2013.

Significance: There seems to be an emerging trend whereby developed countries look to the Asean market for lower-cost quality producers to meet their flexible packaging needs. Foreign exchange gains as a result of a stronger greenback had also impacted export sales.
