The Straits Times Index (STI) closed down 15.09 point (0.45 percent) at 3,356.05. The market traded on moderate volume of 112.01 million shares traded with 136 gainers and 173 losers as of 1:09pm.

Notable gainers were Digiland Intl, Joyas Intl, S i2i, Nordic and Equation, with Digiland Intl leading the pack.

Notable losers were Wilton Resources, Xyec, Yongmao, Amplefield and InnoPac, with Wilton Resources leading the pack.

In other alerts, Frasers Commercial Trust (FCOT) has been re-assigned a “Baa3” credit rating along with a stable outlook by Moody’s Investors Service following the withdrawal of its corporate family rating. The stable outlook reflects Moody’s expectation that FCOT’s properties will continue to generate stable income, driven by steady occupancy rates and organic growth from positive rental reversions. In September, FCOT has successfully refinanced all of its secured debt with unsecured debt.

PNE Industries’ revenue moved up 2.6 percent to $84 million for the year ended 30 September, mainly due to higher contribution from its contract manufacturing segment. Coupled with a multiple-fold gain in other income recognised from the disposal of interest in an associate company, net earnings advanced in excess of 120 percent to $8.5 million. The company has declared a final dividend per share of $0.005.
