Fortune REIT posted a 32.8% growth in net property income to HK$867.7m in 9M14, attributable to strong rental reversions, satisfactory returns from completed asset enhancement initiatives and additional income contribution from Fortune Kingswood which was acquired in Oct-13. Subsequently, distributable income advanced 26.8% to HK$583.6m.

Frasers Centrepoint’s hospitality arm expanded its Indonesian footprint with the opening of its second property, with 128 serviced units, in Jakarta. Moving forward, it intends to add another 6 properties in Jakarta and 2 in other Indonesian cities to add 1,700 more serviced units by 2017.

Genting Singapore PLC’s revenue fell 17% to $644.8m in 3Q14, mainly attributed to a decline in gaming revenue contribution. Coupled with $3.3m of losses contributed from the company’s joint ventures and associate, compared to a $32.4m profit in 3Q13, net earnings sank 49.5% to $97.4m. 9M14 revenue saw a 3.3% rise to $2.2b while net earnings were down 4.7% to $428.2m.

Halcyon Agri Corporation entered into a memorandum of understanding to acquire Centrotrade Holding, a leading distributor of rubber products known for its strong technical capabilities and operator of several warehouses and storage tanks in Europe, South Africa and US.

Keppel Land proposed the disposal of its 30% interests in 2 30-year leasehold properties known as S25 and T25, which are located at the Serangoon and Tampines districts respectively in Singapore. The sale price for the properties of S25 and T25 are $262.8m and $162m respectively. Keppel Land is expected to receive net proceeds of $96m and realise a gain of $65.9m.

Silverlake Axis post a 14.6% lift in top line to RM116.3m for the first quarter ended 30 Sep-14, driven by improved contribution from software licensing and maintenance and enhancement services. A change in revenue mix led to a 6.4 percentage points expansion in gross margin to 64.5%. Subsequently, earnings rose 16.7% to RM59.7m.

Super Group’s 3Q14 revenue dipped 2.6% to $129.5m, due to lower branded consumer sales. Higher raw material costs had a negative impact on margins while higher selling and distribution expenses added to the pressure on the bottom line, which fell 46.7% to $10m. For the 9 months, turnover and net profit declined 4.4% and 44.6% to $385.8m and $42.8m respectively.

Tritech Group’s subsidiary, Tritech Consultants, together with Black & Veatch (Sea), was awarded an $18.5m consultancy contract by the Public Utilities Board to provide engineering services for the Murnane Service Reservoir and Fort Canning Service Reservoir. Tritech Consultants’ portion of the contract is worth $8.8m. The contract is expected to be completed within 54 months (May-19).

VICOM’s 3Q14 revenue gained 3.5% to $27m, driven by higher business volume. Consequently, net earnings improved 5.6% to $7.2m. For the 9 months, revenue gained 3.1% to $81.2m and net earnings saw a 6.2% growth to $22.4m.

Wilmar International saw a 2.7% decline in revenue to US$11.5b in 3Q14, mainly stemmed from lower contribution from the sale of consumer products. However, as the performance of the company’s associates registered a gain of almost 4 folds, net earnings edged up 1.5% to US$422.4m. For the 9 months, revenue was flat at US$32.3b and net earnings dropped 20.5% to US$755m mainly due to higher overall expenses.

Yeo Hiap Seng recorded an 11.3% decrease in revenue to $114.7m in 3Q14, in absence of any property-related activities following the sale of its last residential property unit in Dec-13, partially offset by an improvement in its food and beverage division’s performance. A 6 percentage points narrowing of gross margin to 37.3% further magnified the effect on the bottom line as net profit slumped 85.9% to $3.1m. 9M14 turnover and earnings declined 18% and 77.8% to $337.9m and $15.7m respectively.

YuuZoo Corporation has acquired Sandbox’s, a leading global social gaming company, with registered user base of over 5 million users for about US$0.5m. The duo has recently launched a new mobile game, Honey Snatch.
