The Straits Times Index (STI) closed up 20.45 points (0.63 percent) at 3,247.16 on moderate volume of 100.9 million shares traded with 213 gainers and 113 losers as of 12:15pm.

Notable gainers were Next-Generation Satellite Communications, Lereno Bio-Chem, LifeBrandz, Junma Tyre Cord Co and Loyz Energy, with Next-Gen Sat leading the pack.

Notable losers were Infinio, LH Group, AVIC Int’l Maritime Hldgs, MDR and Nico Steel Holdings, with Infinio leading the pack.

In other alerts, Global Logistic Properties signed a partnership agreement with China Development Bank (CDB) Capital, a subsidiary of China Development Bank. Under the strategic partnership, GLP will become CDB Capital’s major partner for logistics infrastructure development. The agreement is expected to enhance GLP’s access to land and financing resources in China.

Ryobi Kiso Holdings clinched new contracts worth $130.4 million involving the provision of foundation and geo-service works. Including the newest wins, the company’s order book stands at $179.2 million. The above new contracts are expected to be delivered during June 2015 and June 2016.
