Articles (82) Profile Holdings entered into a memorandum of understanding with Zhonghong Holding Co to facilitate strategic business cooperation and investment opportunities. As part of the agreement, Asiatravel will be appointed as a sales and marketing partner to link up Asiatravel’s 2m monthly web visitors to Zhonghong’s integrated resorts, theme parks and hotel properties in China.

Figtree Holdings proposed the acquisition of a freehold property in Melbourne, Australia for A$14m (approximately $16.3m). Located in close proximity to various amenities such as the Melbourne Central Mall and universities, the property is a freehold land parcel with a total land area of 503 sqm. The land parcel is currently occupied by an existing 3-level building which the group intends to re-develop into a high rise mixed development.

Heeton Holdings, KSH Holdings and Lian Beng Group are collaborating via their respective subsidiaries to co-develop a mixed use site in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, Australia. The 3 companies will work on a residential development joint venture with Marvel Investments, with Marvel Investments, Heeton, KSH, and Lian Beng having effective interests of 67%, 18.15%, 4.95% and 9.9% respectively. Additionally, Heeton and Lian Beng will also enter into a 70:30 hotel development joint venture.

Logistics Holdings has been awarded 3 contracts worth $66.5m by the Ministry of Education for building and maintenance works of 3 groups of schools. The project mainly involves maintenance, alteration, repair and decoration works for a period of 4 years. Expected to commence on 1 Sep-14 and completed by 31 Aug-18, the award will lift the group’s order book to $396.3m.

Nam Cheong has entered into a 50:50 joint venture (JV) with Marco Polo Marine, to invest and operate vessels together, through the acquisition of a 50% stake in Marco Polo Offshore (IV) for US$2m. The JV has recently purchased a newly built accommodation work vessel from Nam Cheong and has secured a long-term firmed 5-year bare-boat contract that is estimated to be worth over US$27m.

Olam International has expanded its strategic partnership with Sanyo Foods Co with the sale of a 25% stake in its packaged food business to the latter for US$187.5m. The deal is aimed at capitalising the potential in the sub-Saharan Africa market, and Olam with a 75% stake, will retain its management control of the business. Based on the initial enterprise value of US$750m, the company expects to record a net cash inflow of US$167.5m and an addition of US$80.8m to its reserves.

OKH Global’s subsidiary, Chronoz Investment Holding, has entered into agreements to acquire a total of a 15% stake in Pan Asia Logistics Holdings Singapore, a logistics and supply chain solutions provider for $21.5m. The company hopes to leverage on the strengths of Pan Asia Logistics and to seize opportunities to create new interlinked business opportunities in the real estate market.

SIIC Environment Holdings has been awarded a build-operate-transfer wastewater treatment project by the Dalian Municipal Government in Dalian, China. The project will involve the construction and operation of a wastewater treatment plant with a design capacity of 40,000 tons per day for a concessionary period of 22 years, including the construction phase. In order to take on the project, the group intends to invest Rmb71.6m for the incorporation of a company.

Tritech Group bagged a sewer contract worth $15.1m that was awarded by the Public Utilities Board. The project involves mainly the construction of pipes and manholes as well as demolition of Kranji Pumping Station and Lorong Asmara Solids Divertor. The commencement date of work is 26 Aug-14 and the expected completion date is 25 Aug-17.
