Global Logistic Properties’ 3Q14 revenue remained flat, mainly due to the spinning of properties in Japan to GLP J-REIT coupled with the weakening of the Japanese Yen against the US Dollar. Despite the lacklustre revenue performance, the company was able to recognise a 56.3% increase in earnings to US$176.2m. For 9M14, revenue declined 13.4% to US$447.9m, while earnings soared 14.1% to US$525.2m.

AIMS AMP Capital Industrial REIT proposed a 7:40 rights issue to all eligible unitholders of the trust. Gross proceeds of $100m is expected to be raised from the rights issue and these proceeds will be used to finance the trust’s asset enhancement initiatives, development projects, third party acquisitions in Singapore, and an unannounced portion will be used to pay down debt, working capital purposes and equity issuance costs.

Artivision Technologies’ 3Q14 revenue rose 167.9% to $0.4m, as a result of higher contribution from a newly acquired subsidiary, Colibri Assembly (Thailand). Despite better revenue performance, the company’s losses grew 7.2% y-o-y to $1.2m, in the face of relatively higher expenses. For 9M14, revenue and losses increased 87.2% and 15.5% to $0.4m and $4.2m respectively.

HanKore Environment Tech Group posted a more than 2-fold increase in revenue to Rmb197.9m for 2Q14, as a result of higher contributions from its construction and contract segments. Subsequently, earnings soared 19.7% to Rmb29.4m. For 1H14, revenue more than doubled to Rmb332m and earnings jumped 62.5% to Rmb59.8m.

Renewable Energy Asia Group saw a 21.5% reduction in revenue to Rmb60m for 3Q14, mainly due to lower business activity in the manufacturing segment arising from softer demand for steel structures. In tandem with the recognition of gross losses and higher administration expenses, losses for the third quarter expanded 12.4% to Rmb18.3m. For 9M14, revenue declined 30.9% to Rmb170.3m, while the company sank deeper into the red.

Rex International Holding subscribed for NOK24m (approximately US$3.8m) worth of North Energy ASA shares at NOK4 per share, under a NOK285m private placement by North Energy. Upon completion, Rex will hold 6m North Energy shares, representing approximately 5.4% equity interest in the enlarged issued and paid-up share capital of North Energy. The move is a vote of confidence on the potential of North Energy’s exploration assets which are utilising Rex’s proprietary Virtual Drilling technology.

COSCO Corporation (Singapore) via its subsidiary, COSCO (Guangdong) Shipyard, declared 2 option contracts worth US$60m to be effective. The contracts involve the construction of 2 platform supply vessels for a Singapore-based company.

Hiap Hoe extends presence in Australia with the acquisition of an A-grade commercial building in Perth for A$90m. Located along the Northern fringe of Perth’s central business district, with a net lettable area of 12,349 sqm and 239 parking lots, the building is currently leased to several anchor tenants, coupled with an occupancy rate of 97.7% and a weighted averaged lease expiry of 5.7 years.

KS Energy secured a contract worth US$58m for the provision of a new 300 feet drilling rig in Vietnam for Vietsovpetro. Due to commence in 2Q14, the contract is for a period of 1 year and comes with an option to extend for an additional year.

Linc Energy commenced operations in the 23H well at the Umiat oil field project which include the drilling, completion and production testing of the horizontal well. Located in the North Slope Foothills of Alaska, the Umiat oil field consists of 19,358 gross acres of land and over 1 billion barrels of oil, which can be extracted for over 3 leases.
