Shared profit of associates and JVs fell 22.5% to $0.8b due to lower profit contributions from Airtel and Telkomsel. Meanwhile, exceptional gains decreased by $1.9b to $12.9m following the sale of units in NetLink Trust. Consequently, net profit declined 60% to $1.5b.
Aug-18, 1Q19 operating revenue fell marginally by 0.5% to $4.1b. Share of results of associates and JVs fell 22.3% to $400.7m due to lower profits at Telkomsel, loss from Airtel as well as lower contribution from NetLink NBN Trust due to lower economic interest. Exceptional gains of $76.5m arising from the disposal of a property in Singapore helped cushion the bottom line. Overall, net profit decreased 6.6% to $831.5m.
