    A business weekly reported that Tanjong plc has signed an agreement to sell its entire stake in Pan Malaysian Pools (PMP) to a consortium of Malaysian Chinese businessmen for RM2.1 billion. The consortium is believed to be comprised of people such as Genting Group’s Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay, Hong Leong Group’s Tan Sri Quek Leng Chan, Lion Group’s Tan Sri William Cheng, and Tan Sri Chua Ma Yu. It is believed there are plans to eventually list PMP in Malaysia, and a certain amount of profit will be pledged for charitable causes (including donations to Chinese schools).
